The Dachshund spoon rest I hand-shape in my workshop is an object that perfectly combines functionality and whimsy. For this piece, I work with a light beige stoneware disc 15 cm in diameter—a generous size that easily accommodates your spatulas, ladles, or wooden spoons while cooking. The decoration is the focal point of this creation: I draw a dachshund on a skateboard using my blue pencil. This “sketched” line on the raw clay brings the character to life and makes each spoon rest unique.

Practical and stable with its 1 cm height, this Dachshund spoon rest is designed for intensive kitchen use. High-temperature firing makes the stoneware very resistant and completely waterproof. To protect the drawing while maintaining the mineral look of the clay, I apply a lead-free transparent glaze over the entire surface.
Maintenance is very simple as the piece is dishwasher safe, which is essential for an accessory meant to hold traces of sauce or food prep. It is a durable piece, made in Provence, reflecting my desire to create everyday objects that tell a story and make you smile.
