When you think of the South, certain images come to mind right away: cicadas, plane trees, long summer evenings… and of course, pétanque.
In our region, boules are almost part of the scenery. We play in village squares, in gardens, alongside impromptu apéritifs or during family holidays. It’s a simple, popular game, deeply tied to the Provençal way of life.
So of course, in my workshop here in Provence, pétanque eventually found its way onto some of my creations too.

The drawing is made directly on the light beige stoneware with my signature blue pencil. This slightly irregular line gives each plate a lively, spontaneous feel, far from perfectly smooth industrial prints.
