The “cycling” plate collection I craft in my Pernes-les-Fontaines workshop is much more than simple tableware: these are pieces for lovers of the road and the summits. Each piece is handmade in light beige stoneware, a noble clay whose natural hue recalls the limestone roads of the South. The decorations, done in blue pencil, feature three strong symbols: the silhouette of the Giant of Provence, the kilometer marker showing the mythical altitude, and the minimalist drawing of a racing bike.
