PACO pencil-drawn checkered pitcher
This light beige stoneware checkered pitcher is one of my favorite table pieces. I drew each check in blue pencil to give it a graphic, timeless look. Its shape is clean, and its handle was designed to feel good in your hand every day. It’s a solid object, carefully made in my studio, that will easily find its place in your home—whether to serve water, use as a vase, or simply decorate.
A handcrafted checkered pitcher with a graphic, timeless charm
This checkered pitcher was born in my studio from the desire to create an object that’s useful, durable, and delicate in its look. Each piece is hand-shaped from a light beige stoneware that I let show through under a transparent, lead-free glaze. I love the contrast between the raw clay and the finesse of the blue checks drawn in cobalt pencil.
The check pattern is entirely hand-drawn. No line is exactly the same, giving each stoneware carafe a lively, slightly irregular presence. This graphic decor is part of the identity of my Grandchose collection: a simple, spontaneous style designed to last for years without going out of fashion.
This handcrafted jug easily brings a warm, contemporary touch to the table. Its minimalist aesthetic lets it fit just as well in a modern kitchen as in a more rustic or Mediterranean setting.
A stoneware carafe designed for everyday use
Beyond its decorative appeal, this water jug is first and foremost made to be used every day. With its generous capacity of around one liter, it’s perfect for family meals, big summer gatherings, or simpler everyday moments.
Its slender silhouette stays easy to handle and doesn’t take up much space on the table. I paid special attention to the handle so it’s as pleasant as it is beautiful. Its curve offers a balanced, comfortable grip, even when the pitcher is full.
The spout has also been shaped to pour smoothly and cleanly. It’s often these small, invisible details that make an object a pleasure to live with every day.
And like many versatile handcrafted pieces, this checkered pitcher can also easily become a vase for a few fresh flowers or branches around the house.
A durable stoneware jug, dishwasher-safe
The high-fired stoneware used in the studio makes especially strong pieces suited to intensive everyday use. Unlike more fragile ceramics, this material stands up very well to repeated handling and frequent washing.
So this handcrafted carafe goes into the dishwasher with no problem, which really simplifies daily care. The hand-painted drawings are fired with the piece to ensure they hold up beautifully over the years.
