This checkered mug is the result of precision work that I patiently carry out in my workshop in Pernes-les-Fontaines. I chose to use natural beige stoneware for its strength and raw texture, which beautifully contrasts with the delicacy of the design. Each line is drawn by hand using a special ceramic pencil, giving it that vibrant, slightly irregular finish unique to handmade work. This isn’t an industrial print, but a gesture carefully repeated on each piece to give it its unique character.
